Ferraro drilled 112 ea. drilled shafts ranging in size from 18 inch to 36 inch as part of an expansion to an existing National grid substation outside of Utica, NY. Drilling operations mobilized in February 2017. Soils primarily consisted of hard glacial till allowing the holes to be
drilled open. Work was performed in and around existing electrical equipment which required Ferraro’s Bauer BG12H drill rig to be used in a low headroom mode.
